I've been very much looking forward to this! In keeping with its annual tradition, the University of Canterbury's Dramasoc is bringing to Christchurch a season of quirky and original One Act plays.
A fantastic opportunity to support some up-and-coming talent, and at just $3 a ticket, this is not a festival you want to miss.
The performance dates are Wednesday 7th, Thursday 8th, and Friday 9th of September in Room 124, Fine Arts Building on the Ilam Campus of the University. Performances start at 7.30pm - tickets are only available at the door, so be there nice and early!
The billing for the evening is as follows:
'REAP'
Written by Joe McCann and Directed by Nic Brookland
Death is not the end. There's all the paperwork to sort out, for one thing. Cameron has freshly arrived in the realm of the no-longer-living, but paperwork is the least of his worries. He's about to find out, in the worst possible way, that the afterlife holds all kinds of nasty surprises.
'JAM'
Written by Brynley Stent and Directed by Tash Bylenok
Two jam-lovers go looking for love in all the wrong places and end up feeling jarred. Will they still preserve their dignity in this sticky situation? It's berry funny.
'Orc Pride'
Written by Eli Matthewson and Directed by Edward Dever and Emma Blick
Can Orcs be friends with Elves? These and other questions explored in this tale of two geeky teenagers, Steve and Todd, in an afternoon that was supposed to just be a simple game of Dungeons and Dragons.
