The North Canterbury Musical Society will be holding auditions for their March 2012 season of Blood Brothers.
Auditions will be held in Rangiora on the 17th and 18th September for all roles and company. The audition will require the recital of one prepared song. If auditioning for a named role, cold reading will also be required.
Roles available are as follows:
Mrs Johnstone - Female 30-45
Narrator - Male 30-60 - Baritone
Mickey - Male 25-35 - Tenor
Eddie - Male 25-35 - Tenor
Mrs Lyons - Female 35-50 - Alto
Mr Lyons - Male 40-55 - Tenor/Bari
Linda - Female 20 - 40 - Alto
Sammy - Male 25 - 40 - Tenor
All named roles have singing solos as well as spoken dialogue so the company is looking for performers who are musically strong as well as confident actors.
Performance dates are the 15th to 31st October at the Rangiora Town Hall, directed by Tom Hart and musically directed by Hamish Oliver.
